@wadzanayikim is a product designer with interests in #Edtech and #DeepTech. She is an aspiring changemaker and founder of various initiatives including @stemexplorerz, @beedesignedstu, @teain60 @uxzimbabwe.
Wadzy Kim Bwanya is a product designer and design leader with a background in Computer Science (BSc) and Human-Computer Interaction (MSc) from the University of Nottingham. With years of experience in the Edtech and deep tech sectors, primarily within startup environments, she excels at transforming complex challenges into user-friendly digital experiences that create meaningful impact as well as building teams.
Wadzy founded Beedesigned Studio, the leading UX agency in Zimbabwe, where she provides hands-on guidance and mentorship to the product team, ensuring products launch successfully while driving strategic initiatives that improve team efficiency and drive business growth. Although she is no longer involved full-time, her contributions have laid a strong foundation for meaningful design within the Zimbabwean and African digital landscape.
She also co-founded STEM Explorerz, which houses the Sibo the Engineer program, dedicated to inspiring a generation of problem solvers through engaging and culturally relevant edutainment. This initiative has expanded to five African countries, positively impacting over 2,000 children and sparking their curiosity about STEM.
Additionally, Wadzy founded UX Zimbabwe, a community of UX practitioners from and within Zimbabwe, aimed at enhancing digital experiences through education and collaboration with businesses and the community.
Currently, Wadzy is building Estimate, a digital tool empowering tech freelancers and small businesses in Africa to calculate project costs, manage pricing, and build sustainable businesses.
When she's not immersed in her projects, Wadzy enjoys experiencing the great outdoors - hiking, walking, sunbathing - you name it!
